My corner nook...so far.

I haven't finished the staining process but I did manage to get the bench part put together and my bro-in-law helped me get the last of the table put together. It really helps to have a screw driver that works!!

This movie was taken during the trip but has nothing to do with Alaska...I just think it is funny. Clint is talking about how the Social Security system could save billions of dollars if people would take better care of their teeth...he also adds at the end that people should also care for their colons by eating more broccoli. I think he may get embarrassed that I put this on my blog. Therefor, I may have to remove it soon.

Humpback whales

We were even further away from the humpback whales and could only ever see the tops of them. The spray is neat to watch though. There were two humpbacks in the water that we could see.

Kenai Fjords national park

This is the home of a glacier we were going to go see. There was still a lot of ice and snow on the road. We could have hiked on the ice 3 miles to see it but we didn't want to. Clint made an attempt though. It was pretty scenery. We didn't see any bears though. Apparently there are bears and moose all over that area.

Animals...

These first pictures are of sea animal skulls. The first is a killer whale, it may not look the way you would think it should. The top of a killer whale skull has a large layer of blubber where there nose is. They use this to "hear" sound waves.
The next pictures are of whales (sorry you can't see them very well. The first is a killer whale and the second is the top of a humpback whale) and the last picture is of sea lions basking in the sun.

Boat trip

During the 5hour boat trip we stopped on an island for a salmon bake lunch. On the way there were saw a sea otter swimming in the water.

Sewerd, Alaska

This is were we stayed the first two nights and the last picture is me and my bro on the boat.

Killer whale sightings

Hope you don't get sea-sick watching this. It was a bit hard to capture the killer whales with my little camera way zoomed in and the boat rocking. The whales were really cool to watch though! I saw about 7 of them but there are only 3 in this video.

Sweet!

It actually let me put a video on here! I'm excited because it hasn't worked before. FYI: the video I tried to upload to myspace failed x2!!

This is a clip about puffins that I took at an aquarium in Sewerd, Alaska.
