Making a ladybug pinata

I started this pinata about 2 weeks ago by connecting a large and small balloon with tape, cutting out a large side of a cereal box and setting the large/small balloons partially in it. Then, over the next week I added multiple layers of paper mache. After it was all dry I cut away the cereal box, popped the balloons and paper mached a cardboard bottom with a door for candy. Then I glued crape paper to it in layers. Last of all I added the ribbon on top and 16 ribbons on the bottom. At the party I attached kids rings to the bottom of each ribbon and of course filled the thing with candy. There was one string that I had attached to the cardboard door and if pulled it would release the candy. At the party kids took turns pulling strings. (The other 15 strings were just taped on and covered with red paper.)

My fish is still alive...so I gave him an upgrade and got a second fish (it's in the old fish container not pictured here)
